Try something like this, replace "vmname" with your VM:
Get-VM vmname | Select Name, @{N="IP Address";E={@($_.guest.IPAddress[0])}}
Trying to build Windows-based networked computer system.
The networked computer system should have the following features:
Please if anyone can give me some idea/guideline or any link.
Thank you in advance
My case is different, we can navigate documents in two way
1) Quick access-> documents [I don't have any problem in redirecting documents here]
2) Navigating to this path "C:\Users\%username%\Documents" and saving documents, these documents are not redirecting to my share (help me on second point)
Hi Alejandro,
If you use windows 10, please version 7.0.3.
There are some fixes for windows 10 and of course the "workaround" fix for TrendMicro is included.
So I have a current running ESXi 5.1 host. I have 2 Windows 2008R2(DC1) Server running. 1 Domain Controller 1 SQL Server(SQL1). The current host has a 1 Datastore(Datastore1). I have purchased a new host with 3 times the resources for future growth. I need to know what would be the best practice for just moving the server from one host to the other( i.e. recreate the server in the new environment and do a Windows based restore, do a disk image and just restore the image to the available volume by spinning up a Acronis Backup. I am just not real sure what I am up against trying to make this move. The configuration would be the same for the VM's on the new host. The only difference is, I would have larger storage available after the move was completed. Take into account that once I have moved the servers, the old host will be decommissioned and no longer used. I have seen some of the new tools from Vmware, but I don't see anything that would be used as a best practice. I am seeing most people talking about setting up VCenter and creating a environment name and adding the old host to the new VCenter. Not sure I am ready to create a monster. I just need to move the servers to a new host and get rid of the old one. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Well I seem to be missing or just don't know where to find the "PATH POLICY" or "CDP Info" both of which should be very easy to find but it seems. Things have gone from "K.I.S.S" to We are going to make it so non - intuitive it will make your brain hurt..
Any help would be great..
Scott
Hi Gurus
I need some help and hope I can get it here, in our infrastructure we host 4 line of Business , I have created a UEM server and have set the redirection folder and all works great, but then I need 3 more UEM server for each LOB, so I can redirect the folder on each server.
1- Can this be accomplished?
2- if so, can I have a step on how to do this ?
Thanks a bunch gurus
This is in the Knowledge Base now as a known 7.2 bug -- https://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=2149050
Thank you very much. Installing Loadgen 2007, fixed the issue.
Now score file is getting generated. I have a question on the below scores, I see that there are 2 compliant issues in the mailserver QoS(p0 & p1). Can you please explain the reason.
I also see that deployment is failing in our run. Can you also explain, what exactly 'deploy' does. I can see following 3 steps.
1. Create new VM from the template(Success in our run)
2. Power on the VM(Success in our run)
3. Power off the VM (Failing in our run).
What else harness does with the newly created VM?

Hi ooajala
Greetings!
Currently, It is not possible to customize the UI (the way you want) post login but I would like to hear more details from you like what and where exactly you want customization to the UI post login?
Cheers!

I recommend you to read the below article to clear your confusion about low host usage and high ready usage case scenario. I am sure, It will be helpful..
http://www.joshodgers.com/2013/01/12/high-cpu-ready-with-low-cpu-utilization/
Overall what I can say is, you have to re-evaluate and analyse your VMs sizing. This may help you at every level of performance optimisation.
Thanks,
Amit
I'm trying to perform a fresh install of 6.5 and it seems to hang after the initial screen. The server originally has 5.0 installed.
The same problem occurs with 6.0 too. Did not see the server listed in HCL. Could that be the reason?
I told a virtual machine to reboot itself using the vCenter Web Client 2 hours ago and its still just sitting in limbo and I am unable to communicate with it. How can I fix this? I already tried restarting the vCenter server which didn't help accomplish anything.
Running vSphere 6.5.
Everybody help me fix this Error
HI LucD,
I tried to run the below script it works nicely but it stops after 2 iterations!?
Also, how do I include Disks and Network Stats. I have referred to your previous script on the same but the output doesn't seem quite right especially when a VM may have multiple disks.
Please help!
Thanks

I guess, there is no LUN migration between different storage devices, so you have to add new LUN from Hitachi and configure the LUN as cluster LUN then remove your Dell LUNs.
Run vSphere client in compatibility mode, Windows 7 will work on this regard.
You should kill the machine process on your ESXi.
Check this KB:Unable to power off the virtual machine in an ESXi host (1014165) | VMware KB
If the new hosts have access to old hosts' storage and there is vMotion network between all hosts. You can migrate the machines from old hosts to new hosts.
But you have to put all the hosts in one cluster and enable EVC cluster option because your new hosts has newer CPU generation.
